But you walked away from your first love — why? What’s going on with you, anyway? Do you have any idea how far you’ve fallen? A Lucifer fall! Turn back! Recover your dear early love. No time to waste, for I’m well on my way to removing your light from the golden circle. Revelation 2:4-5
If you were accused of being a Christian in a court of law, would there be enough evidence to support the accusation? In a worldly sense you would list all the things you do to prove your case, going to church, serving on a team etc. But God is looking at the shape of our heart more than anything. He says, “Turn back! Recover your dear early love.”
So often we get distracted by the things of this world, but we need to love the Lord our God with all our heart and soul and mind. He loves to be loved. I need to always rekindle that love.
