The transformational power of repentance and thanksgiving.
If you’re a ‘worrier’ then you need to hear this message.
King David has been in distress. He knows what to do to cry out to God. He says: “Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer.” And “How long will you people love delusions and seek false gods”
God always has a plan of salvation, he always offers a way out. Just like Adam and Eve had a choice to eat the fruit or not, like Noah had a way out from destruction, Ninevah had a chance to repent, Sodom and Gomorrah just needed a righteous remnant to be saved, yet not enough were found.
When a fish is caught in a net, we could cut it in half, and it would die. Or we could gently untangle it so it can be set free. We are called to carry each other’s burdens. That’s the beauty of church. When you are caught in sin, whether it is greed, or pride, or bitterness, or sexual sin, or stealing, we shouldn’t condemn, we should gently restore.
