God is good. He made the earth because he wants to bring joy to us. Oh how he loves us! Like a father loves to see his children happy, God also does, but infinitely more!
Part of his blessing to us is pouring out His Spirit. It’s not for a buzz, or a quick thrill It’s to glorify him, to anoint us for service, to display his signs and wonders.
In Luke 1:41-43, we read that
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!”
Each time people are filled with the Holy Spirit they prophesy! They bring glory to God! Elizabeth’s experiences occurred before Pentecost when the Holy Spirit would come upon people on rare occasions. At Pentecost the Holy Spirit was poured out on all to begin a new season when people can fully experience the Holy Spirit.
Lord, baptise me afresh today. I will be more bold in prophesy this year, I will preach your full Gospel and be your vessel, be your conduit, be your servant. Here am I send me!
