Praise be to the LORD,
for he has heard my cry for mercy.
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy
and I will give thanks to him in song.
8 The LORD is the strength of his people,
a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
9 Save your people and bless your inheritance;
be their shepherd and carry them forever. Psalm 29:6-9
I love reading the Psalms. The writers of the Psalms had many high points and many low points in their lives. But they were always communing with God. Praising, crying, pleading, confessing, exalting, and the list goes on, the psalmists poured out everything to God. They are part of the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. But there’s nothing that says we can’t write our own Psalms… I love it in the Psalms when sometimes it says SELAH. Which means think upon this, meditate on this, dwell on this, we need to stop and commune with our Lord so much more… So here’s my Psalm. Psalm 151…
Heavenly Father you are so awesome,
You are such a good God to me!
I love to serve you and walk with you all of my days.
You are always close to me, You are my closest friend, my faithful Father and my strength every day.
Although at times I feel the pressure, and feel like it’s all too much. You lift me to higher heights.
Your Holy Spirit in me lifts me to places beyond what man’s mind could understand
The Joy of walking with you every day far, far, far outweighs any trial
Thank you Lord for your precious anointing, it’s like a refreshing breeze on a hot day,
Or like diving into a pool in the middle of summer,
in you I am refreshed and revived,
You are my treasure, my dreams and desires are fulfilled in your presence
I will spend the rest of my days drawing closer to you, surrender to you is my sweetest prize
May your Love forever shine in me, for your Glory Lord
SELAH
