Pastor Dave Parr will be bringing a message from Proverbs 25. As we’ve been walking through the book of Proverbs, I’ve noticed how much advice there is on the use of our words. I’ve found myself shutting my mouth sometimes because of the advice we’ve learnt in Proverbs. I’ve found myself trying to control my anger, I’ve tried to be intentional about caring for the poor, and the list goes on! The wisdom in this book is to be applied to our lives, not just in one ear, and out the other!
In Proverbs 25:11-13 in The Message version says, “The right word at the right time is like a custom-made piece of jewellry, And a wise friend’s timely reprimand is like a gold ring slipped on your finger. Reliable friends who do what they say are like cool drinks in sweltering heat—refreshing!”
