I Surrender All

“Give in to God, come to terms with him and everything will turn out just fine. Let him tell you what to do; take his words to heart. Come back to God Almighty and he’ll rebuild your life. Clean house of everything evil. Relax your grip on your money and abandon your gold-plated luxury. God Almighty will be your treasure, more wealth than you can imagine. Job 22:21-25

God’s way is always the best way. Job has been getting all sorts of advice from his “friends.” He must have had the patience of Job to listen to it all! This piece of advice, we all need to hear. “Give in to God. Come to terms with him.” How many times have we found ourselves dong things our own way, and in our own strength, but we need to yield to our Father.

The concept of letting God tell us what to do is foreign to many Christians. I remember when I went to bible college, getting a revelation. I’d been a serious  christian for a few years, but I was running my own show. Then I came across these crazy Spirit-filled disciples who actually asked God to speak to them, and to guide them in life! They had a real love relationship with Jesus. They “let God tell them what to do, and took his words to heart.”

Part of this lifestyle requires surrender. If you actually want to be guided by God’s Holy Spirit, you need to be willing to lay everything down. Like this verse: “Clean house of everything evil. Relax your grip on your money and abandon your gold-plated luxury. God Almighty will be your treasure, more wealth than you can imagine.”

Lord, I surrender all to you afresh today. Guide me in the way everlasting, lead me on Holy Spirit I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
