Ps Matt continued our series on “Light the fire again.” In our walk with God, we need to regularly ask the question, “What do I need to change in my life, Lord?” And to keep the fire in our relationship with God, we need to be willing to change when he speaks to us! In the Bible, when Isaiah is cleansed of his sin, he says, “Here am I; send me.” Prior to that point, he saw himself as an unworthy messenger; once he was forgiven, he immediately desired to serve the Lord in whatever way possible. The Lord asks, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”—God wants willing volunteers in His service—and a grateful and enthusiastic Isaiah doesn’t hesitate in taking the opportunity, he says, “Here am I; send me.” And for the rest of his life, Isaiah serves the God who had forgiven and saved him. Bring your friends this Sunday as we open God’s word together, and let’s respond to the call of God!
