His Agape Love

By Symphony Baggerman

“A selfless and an unconditional love in nature”; a love that emulates the Love of our Father in Heaven. He loves us so much that Jesus Christ was sent as an atonement to us and for us, and more so for our trespasses and sins. One may ask, why is that? So, we can turn back to Him and return to live with our Father in Heaven for eternity.

Early this morning on Anzac Day, April 25, 2020, I was briefly woken up at around 4 a.m., thinking and praying for my dad, and I heard the word “blog”. I had spoken to dad the night before, where he had mentioned about the pain on his right leg. This is a recurring pain due to a stroke that happened sometime in 2007, about 13 years ago.

A brief snapshot of what had occurred during their (mum and dad) journey to the US. While transiting via Hong Kong, dad had suffered a pretty major stroke that left him unable to communicate and walk “as per normal”. Both of their journey came to a sudden halt – an unexpected and devastating “halt” for our whole family, I must say but praise be to God and His unconditional love, mum and dad who are non-believers (yet) experienced God’s Love first-handedly regardless of their background and status. How so, one may ask? God’s unconditional love was shown through my cousin, Kevin, who “happened” to work in Hong Kong at that particular time. A brief synopsis of the health care law in Hong Kong during their time of visit is that, if one is not a citizen, he or she is denied care such as hospitalization. Right away our reaction was “Wow…really? How can this be?” Dad needed help right away, and if not, as soon as possible. We were all very sad and distraught by this news but fervently prayed. Yet again, God interceded, Hallelujah! Kevin managed to “pull some strings” and got dad admitted to one of the hospitals in Hong Kong. Thank You, Lord and many thanks to the doctor friend who had helped us after hours of what seemed to be an “impossible situation” and an eternity of waiting. Yay, yippee!! Dad could have died, but praise God he did not. Thank You, Jesus! Lord, you are always good and faithful no matter what the circumstances “look like”. We just need to trust and obey Your still small voice (1 Kings 19:12).

God loves you regardless of who you are, what status or title you possess or what background you come from. That is all irrelevant to Him. What He desires is a true, a pure and an unselfish relationship with Him. He loves us no matter what had happened in the past or what is currently happening. And the awe-inspiring thing is, His Love is Unconditional (Agape). If you do not know Jesus, what have you got to lose but everything to gain? Life is too short; time is of the essence. Please do not let another day go by without knowing Him. Choose life, choose peace, choose joy, choose hope and choose repentance. Make a difference today and accept His unconditional love for you, for your family and for your family’s family. And, if you know and have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, welcome to the family! May His Grace be upon you and us all in such a time as this in Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
